Recently, I stumbled on this cool village builder for Clash of Clans. It says hello.
Making a killer base can be a pretty big pain in the butt. However, there are a few online tools that can help you to make something great. This base builder from clashofclans-tools.com not only lets you design the base of your choosing, but it gives you meaningful information that will help you make decisions about how to structure your village. I went ahead and gave it a go, and this is the base I came up with.
Okay, I admit it, I just waved my mouse around wildly, but while doing so I found that the editor is really smooth and easy to use. The buildings drop with one click and you can draw walls pretty easily. That is more than I can say for the actual in-app editor for Clash of Clans. This website has more features than just a simple editor, however. One of the features that I particularly like is the ability to view your damage heatmaps. That is one of the best ways to check and see if you base has any weaknesses or holes. This is what the damage heatmaps look like. When you turn them all one at once it is a bit of a mess.
But can also view different types of damage as their own individual heatmaps. Air damage, single damage, and splash damage can all be viewed independently. This base has some pretty good damage output, which is to be expected. It’s one of the pre-made bases that are already available on the website. If you need a new setup quickly, you can just go and look at other bases that people have made with this app. This is the one above without the heatmap.
They have all different kinds of bases, I chose the top farming layout, but there are also trophy bases and hybrid bases for you clashing pleasure. There are 200 pages of layouts to choose from, so if you can’t find anything to your liking then you’re way way too choosy. The layout quality is, of course, extremely variable. Some are good, many are very very bad. You may want to use a little care when choosing.
There are a couple other cool features that this app provides you. You can switch the view of the base to make it look like it would in the game, but it is a little harder to edit that way. There is also a simulation that tells you how much you will need to spend to build a base from your current level. It is extremely detailed, but it includes how much actual money you would have to spend. If you play Clash of Clans like I do, then that is not really an option.
Overall, you all should check it out. It’s free, and it’ll help to make you build better bases, which we all need.
